| So I've had a few friends ask when I'm going to update my xanga...and since it's been almost a year (where do the days go?) I guess now is just as good a time as any. I"m starting a new chapter in my life. One that I've been wanting for years but put off and put off until the Lord made it very clear to me it was time. I lost my job almost three months ago...very sudden, but looking back, a huge blessing for many reasons. After the initial shock wore off it ended up being a nice break, although a bit bitter sweet. With two good months of summer ahead of me I was able to do some things that normally I wouldn't. I enjoyed my summer for the most part...but there was just this bit of guilt hanging over my head that I couldn't help feeling even though I hadn't done anything wrong. It's just the fact that I felt like I should be going to work everyday but instead had all this free time and awesome summer time to eat up. Of course this whole time constantly looking for a job, sending out resume after resume...a lot of the times not hearing anything one way or the other, which is horribly frustrating. But God is good and He opened doors and put people in my path that were encouraging and fighting for me all the way. Some that I've never met before were my biggest cheerleaders and supporters during this last stretch. All this to say I've got a new job. I start this coming Thursday. I'm very excited and anxious to get back in the working world. This job is a huge blessing to me...everything I was looking for and more! I'm looking forward to seeing how the Lord will use me to serve him in this new phase of my life. So there you go...my summer in a nutt shell. | | |

Someone said that in each life
Some rain is bound to fall.
And each one shares

| So I forgot to mention another reason for joining Xanga...to share pictures with you all....
So here are a few I took today on my way home from work...kids, don't try this at home...or should I say, don't try this while driving down the road, while it's raining, going 50 mph...

For this next one I was safely parked in my driveway so I was sure not to hurt anyone...
As you can see it was a rainy, dreary day today...but I like to think I made the best of it!!

So, here's my first xanga post. I'm not huge on writing so some of you may ask "why bother?". I mostly joined to keep up to date on some friends and every once in a while I may have something interesting to say...you'll just have to check back periodically.
